CBN governors - past and present - were there. Presidents - past and president - were there (Obasanjo, Jonathan, and Buhari's rep).
All the captains of industry were there. Yet, social media had no news of it. But a burial in Oba, attended by a bunch of Igbo men, who control no brand name nor any business franchise, who are never privy to the inner conversations of power and money in Nigeria, is all over the place. I think we need to take a pause and reflect.
When the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC comes after them, demanding their sources of income, they will say Igbos are being targeted. In consideration of economic woes, abject poverty, high level of insecurity, kidnappings, banditry and political turmoil, is this extravagant display of wealth and opulence necessary?
Can any hard-earned cash be spent this way or bring back the dead?
What a prodigal waste!
What a wasted generation!
