Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has returned to the State capital after a brief official stay outside the state. The Governor who arrived Danbaba Suntai Airport amidst rousing welcome from top government functionaries and well wishers proceeded straight to the residence of late Hon Dovoh where he sympathise with the family of the diseased.
The Governor in his condolence remarks said he was in the late's Chairman's house to condole with the family. he described the incident that led to his death as sad, unfortunate and one of too many in the state . Darius said insecurity is so terrible in the country and the most unfortunate aspect is that it has rendered them the state Executives thoroughly handicap. Darius frowned at the Nigeria constitution saying they must be an amendment of the constitution and an immediate establishment of the state police. Darius disclosed that we can not continue to live in a devided nation as it is today and expect peace ,he challenged the Buhari led Government to stand up to the responsibilities of building a more united nation and to consider a total use of the borrowed constitution (America) which we use as a nation if we must make head way.
Gov Ishaku expressed his anger saying he lost a member of his constituency years ago in a like manner and now he is losing a chairman of a local government. He charged the securities to bring the perpetrators of this devilish act to book and get them thoroughly punished. He on behalf of the state government console the family and urge them to be comforted in God because it is only God who gives life and only him who takes life. To any man there is a time to be born and a time to die he said. He however prayed for the soul of the diseased to rest in peace.
Mr. John Dovoh speaking on behalf of the diseased family said it was on the 24 of January when they received a shocking message on the kidnap of their brother the late Chairman just to later hear that he has been killed. He said they all thought it was a case of kidnapping as usual but never knew that they were assassin's. He appreciated the Governor who upon hearing the news send his Deputy to condole with them . He expressed gratitude to the state government for their support and pray that the state ans nation at large experience peace henceforth
The late chairman left behind 5 children behind all Male. May his soul rest in peace Amen
