Covid-19: Lagos Records 191 deaths as cases rises to 13,000

Lagos State government has given update on COVID-19 cases in the State.

The State Commisioner for Health on Tuesday confirmed that the state now has a total of 13,443 cases.

Abayomi also revealed that the State has so far recorded 191 coronavirus related deaths.

He noted that 2,075 of the confirmed cases have since been discharged and 2,042 are yet to be admitted.

“97 new #COVID19 infections were confirmed in Lagos out of a total 1,034 #COVID19 tests conducted.

“The new cases bring the total number of confirmed #COVID19 infections in Lagos to 13,443

“Total number of #COVID19 tests conducted so far in Lagos now stands at 55,604.

“2,075 of the confirmed cases have since been discharged from #COVID19 Care Centres following full recovery.

“8,960 of the confirmed cases monitored in communities by #COVID19Lagos response.

“Team have either fully recovered or positively responding to treatments.

“175 of the cases are currently under isolation in public and private #COVID19Lagos Care centres.

“2,042 active cases in communities are yet to turn up for admission in #COVID19Lagos care centres.”
