Chelsea defeated Norwich City at Stamford Bridge by a loan goal on Tuesday night to move back to Third place and Four points above Leicester and Manchester United in the tensed race for a Champions League spot.
Olivier Giroud scored the only goal of the encounter, his third goal in Four Matches to hand Lampard's men an all important victory shifting the Pressure to Leicester and United in fourth and fifth place respectively.
Chelsea knew that a victory was of utmost importance here as they were shocked by a surprise 3-nil defeat to Sheffield last time out and it would have been a much more bigger shock if they had suffered another setback to an already relegated Norwich City.
Though the skies were not all Bluesy for Chelsea against Norwich having had some times in the game especially in the first half were it seemed like they would flop again, but Wonderful work from Olivier Giroud to get in place, punishing slack defending from Norwich and getting the all important goal. Chelsea were dominant all through the first half but were little shy in front of goal
Chelsea next game is an FA Cup clash against Man Utd and play away to Liverpool and at home to Wolves for their final EPL games, a series of Important games for sure. One that demands full concentration.
