Hon. Saidu Akawu Salihu, erstwhile house of assembly member who represented Kogi/Kotonkarfe constituency and former commissioner in the state has confirmed incumbent Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello as viable candidate with wherewithal to win and continue with his laudable programmes.
Hon. Akawu said Kogi LG is an active APC home and praised Kogi State Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. David Edward Onoja for his visit to the home of APC at grassroots. Hon Akawu made this revelation at a programme he organised for APC family in Kogi LG in view of their efforts in past for working for the victory of the party.
"I am honored to play host to my friends, brothers, sisters and party leadership from wards to LG levels".
"Hon. David Edward Onoja, I celebrate you for the maturity and extreme love you had for kogi people that your visit to Kotonkarfe today really represented the Governor".
"I assured you my word that my people and I will continue to work with Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello and other leaders to better the life of the average Kogi populace". He added.
Administrator of Kogi LGA, Hon. Muhammed Musa Tanko Osuku, described Hon. Saidu Akawu Salihu, as an active member of ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kogi LG with network cuts across nook and crannies of the host LG.
The Administrator thanked Hon. Akawu for reconciling the party which now foster unity among party members to achieve victory in 2019 and ever ready to return Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello back to power.
He briefly spelled out what the people's Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello has done in the last 3 years of his ongoing profitable stewardship of New Direction administration which he equally said; provision of electricity, provision GYB water for all, appointment of its illustrious sons and security of lives and property of kogi LG populace. Adding that Kogi LG sees Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello as their brother hence will pay him back in the slated primary election.
Hon. Edime said he was in Kotonkarfe to joined the people of the area solidified with Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello as only candidate to beat in the race. He however caution the delegates to distance themselves from diaspora politicians whose selfishness or tribal agenda may lead to imposition of their relatives or children to govern the state at detriments of Kogi people.
Meanwhile, Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Hon. David Edward Onoja, said some aspirants were out to destabilize the party without concrete plans on how to rule the State. Chief Onoja stated that he is proud of Kogi people over their positive stand in support of this government. Appeal to the delegates to replicate what they did in previous elections that lead to APC recorded victory in the LG chapter of the party. Chief Onoja said.
