An ally of Atiku Abubakar has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari wrote to the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) justifying that he is eligible to contest the 2019 presidential election with or without the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) certificate.

According to him, President Buhari, in the letter, averred that he can read, write, understand and speak English language fluently and that he, therefore, is qualified to contest for the office of the President, according to a source.

The source, however, reminded that “forgery and lying under oath is still a crime”, saying that he forged a West African Examinations Council (WAEC) certificate.
