Power tussle in Benin Central Mosque, lead to delay of prayer yesterday



There was power tussle in Benin City central yesterday 15 of March 2019, as such led to delay of Friday prayers.

The war between two Islamic cleric of who to lead the prayer in Benin central mosque, has been going for some times now.

Yesterday problem started when some aggrieved members of the mosque prevent Iman Alhaji Abdul-fatah Enabule the Imam of the Benin central mosque to lead Friday prayer, such lead to disagreement, but they later resolve by electing one man to lead the prayer.

On interviewing some of the members of the mosque after prayers, some say that The Imam Abdul-fatah Enabule was imposed on them, so they do not want him, they want to follow the Sharia law to elect who will lead them in prayers.

Why other say that they are disappointed to see these happen in the mosque. They pray that they should try and resolved what could be the cause of the problems before next Friday prayer.
