What did you understand by the following terms; (a) Auxochrome (b) bathochromic shift (c) hyperchromic shift?

The question is raise from ultraviolet spectroscopy. Mainly from structure effect that affect the absorptions of UV spectroscopy.

Now let see what the word Auxochrome, bathochromic and hyperchromic shift means

Auxochrome

a) Auxochrome: is a functional group attached to a chromophore change the potential of the chromophores to observe light by altering it wavelength or absorptions ability to bathocrhomic shift.
